2. DEBRA (Southsea) Charity Shop

Your donations support DEBRA’s research and care for those living with epidermolysis bullosa (EB), a painful genetic skin condition. The charity funds research and support individuals affected by EB, improving their quality of life and advancing treatments.

3. Sam’s Place (Southsea)

Sam’s Place is a unique local charity shop and community hub in Southsea. They accept a variety of donations, including clothing, electrical items, household goods such as bedding, glasses, vases, and dinner sets, as well as books and toys for children.

If you're based locally in Southsea, you can arrange a free collection service by calling them on 0239 282 1199. The charity also encourages the upcycling of textiles and haberdashery items like wool, embroidery thread, and cotton.

4. Naomi House & Jacksplace Charity Shop (North End & Cosham)

in North End, Portsmouth, is one of 20 charity shops across central Southern England dedicated to supporting local hospices. The donations they receive help fund care for over 500 families and more than 1,000 children and young adults in the region with life-limiting illnesses.

5. Rowans Hospice (Multiple Charity Shops in Portsmouth)

Rowans Hospice has four locations across Portsmouth—in Fratton, Cosham, Southsea, and Farlington—so no matter where you're located, you can easily donate your unwanted items at a nearby charity shop or at their Farlington warehouse.

They accept clothing, bedding, accessories, toys, and homeware, alongside upholstered furniture such as sofas and armchairs, provided they have fire safety labels and are free from rips, stains, or chips.
